1006 Smoke in Green, 2000 (unfinished) |
In memory of Hundertwasser's
10th anniversary of his death on February 19, 2010

|
On this occasion the Museum Hundertwasser – with the world's only permanent exhibition – at KunstHausWien shows a special presentation until April 6, 2010. Hundertwasser’s painting 1006 Smoke in Green, one of his last works, which he painted on the Queen Elizabeth 2 on his way back from New Zealand to Europe, can be seen as well as a memorial installation with a photograph of his last resting-place.
Hundertwasser’s wish: “I am looking forward to become humus myself buried naked without coffin under a beech tree planted by myself on my land in Ao Tea Roa.“ became reality in his reincarnation of a tulip tree, grown out of his grave in The Garden of the Happy Deads on his land in New Zealand.
A selected documentation of the activities, projects, publications and exhibitions of the Hundertwasser Non-Profit Foundation from 2000 until 2010 can be supplied on request under the following e-mail address: office@harel.at
